FAQs

In Indian context, General Aviation includes operations of private category aircraft, non-scheduled aircraft (Charter operations), aero sports, Flight training operations, aerial work, and the like. Scheduled commercial airlines are not part of General Aviation. You can read more about general aviation here. 

Pilot training can be started with a 10th qualification, basic medical fitness, and at least 16 years of age. There is no upper age limit for Pilot training.

On the lines of surface transport, there are multiple types of aircraft for specific usage requirements. A small aircraft with a seating capacity of 3 people can cost as low as Rs. 45,000 an hour. For information in this regard, you may read the blog here. 

A Private Pilot License (PPL) is a strong license worldwide and gives the privilege of flying for yourself as well as with friends and family. It is similar to a personal driving license of your car except here you fly an aircraft and not drive a car. For more information, please read our blog here.

A brand-new aero sports aircraft may cost as low as Rs.1.75 Cr. Whereas a luxury jet with seating of up to 9 people and a range of around 3500 Kms may cost Rs. 50 cr. A pre-owned aircraft may cost less as per date of manufacture and condition. You can read more on this here.
